As an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician III, youll work with a team of safety-focused technicians to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Mentoring team mates, troubleshooting and solving sophisticated problems efficiently, and attention to detail are keys to success in this role!

A Day in the Life
In this role, you will operate and maintain one of Williams largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment. Operators at New Albany will gain valuable skills in the operation and maintenance of gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium voltage generators, power distribution systems, environmental controls, and station distributed control systems.
For an I&E Operations Technician III
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with power line distribution systems and electrical safety code, applying technical skills, proficiency and technical leadership in the following areas: Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems
Minimizes unplanned shutdowns through root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safety
Fixes and maintains process control systems
Partners with project managers to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new projects
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two (2) years experience as an Operations Technician or similar role, including one (1) year experience as an I&E Technician
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum of two (2) years experience as an Operations Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
The ability to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as the need arises
May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
Must possess valid State Drivers License and clean driving record
Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
Previous experience working in an environment with gas-plant operations, gas compression and/or liquid or gas gathering processes
Previous experience in the mechanical, electrical, and/or maintenance industry
For an I&E Operations Technician II

Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with power line distribution systems and electrical safety code, applying technical skills, proficiency and technical leadership in the following areas: Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems
Minimizes unplanned shutdowns through participating in root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions with a focus on improving safety
Initiates and completes work orders and requisitions and maintains all records and documents as needed
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on instrumentation, electrical and analytical equipment
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of six (6) months experience in the natural gas or related industry
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree
