Accounting Manager

Well-established construction company with over 30 years in business is looking for a Sr. Accountant / Accounting Manager. The company has a well respected history of delivering projects in residential, commercial, and government projects. In this role you'll be responsible for overseeing one AP/Billing Specialist while being hand's on for other accounting duties such as payroll, reconciliations, month end close, sales and use tax, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR), sales & use tax
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting experience in payroll, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Pluses:

• Sage 300 or similar ERP 
• Project Accounting experience such as WIP accounting and/or job costing
• Audit preparation, 940 and W2 filing, COI
