Job Description
Our client, a leading organization in the finance and accounting sector, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the finance department supporting payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Perform monthly comparisons, reconciliations, and payments based on large data sets for US, Canada, or Latin America tax reconciliations and 3rd party vendor payments.
- Meet all payroll, vendor, and government deadlines for reporting employee off-cycle payments and tax payments.
- Compile payroll-related information requested by legal, governmental authorities, or insurance providers.
- Apply advanced technology in the analysis, design, and development of complicated ad-hoc and routine audit reports.
- Research state and local withholding requirements to ensure new and existing employees are set up to tax correctly.
What's Needed?
- S/BA in Finance, HR, Accounting, Mathematics, or other relevant field strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Excel (advanced to expert skill level).
- Ability to assess risks and determine the most appropriate path forward to resolution.
- Understanding of gross to net payslip calculation, employee benefit programs, and tax implications.
- Experience with Federal and multi-state tax rates, calculations, reporting, and filing.
