Job Description


Key Accountabilities

  • Plant Safety
  • Operating Equipment
  • Equipment Maintenance

Expected Results and Achievements

  • Operate loader to transfer materials from yard to aggregate storage bins (maintain stockpiles), materials from bins to hopper, materials from bins to haul trucks, etc.
  • Collect aggregate tickets and submit to batch office daily
  • Perform routine maintenance including machine cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, cleaning bins and washout ponds (if applicable). Additional maintenance activities as required
  • Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
    • Includes cleanliness and upkeep of yard area and bin room areas
  • Follow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standards
    • Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
    • Participate in safety meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including scheduled Saturdays
  • Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
  • Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams

Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills

Education and Experience

  • Related industry experience a plus
  • Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Travel Requirement

  • Only as needed

Rate or Range: $25.75 and up
