Job Summary
Job Description
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages assigned supplier relationships.
Manages some aspects of the development, bid evaluation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with assigned suppliers.
Helps identify and negotiate contract opportunities, leveraging the buying power of the organization in order to lower the cost of procurement of goods and services.
Follows a strategic sourcing process for selecting vendors that provides the best value for meeting ATSs requirements.
Supports the Sourcing Manager to ensure supplier and internal compliance to contracts.
Maintains Commodity metrics.
Supports Data Integrity efforts for strategic commodities.
Makes recommendations to enhance business processes and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
Provides backup support for purchasing as needed.
Completes ad hoc projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
Bachelor's degree and two or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of purchasing experience.
Two years of experience with SAP or equivalent ERP program/application.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills coupled with a demonstrated ability to work effectively on teams with multiple projects.
Travel will be required (up to 30% of time).
Desirable KSAs:
Two to four years of experience in a manufacturing organization
Two to four years working experience with extracting data and transacting in ERP systems
Expertise utilizing SAP or equivalent ERP program/application, Excel, Power BI/BW
Supply chain processes in a manufacturing environment with the ability to summarize and interpret large volumes of data into reports

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is also required to use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequent use of a standard keyboard and computer to document calls in a ticketing system, and occasional use of other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods and use close and color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy business office.
