Job Description


Duties```
- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Conduct payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and filing requirements
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support as needed

```Experience```
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Knowledge of technical accounting procedures and practices
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Skills:
- Journal entries: Ability to accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger.
- Financial concepts: Understanding of basic accounting principles, such as debits, credits, assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
- Payroll: Knowledge of payroll processing procedures, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Accounting software: Proficiency in using accounting software programs to record, organize, and analyze financial data.
- Technical accounting: Familiarity with advanced accounting procedures, such as accruals, deferrals, amortization, and depreciation.
- Accounts receivable: Ability to manage customer invoices, track payments, and resolve outstanding balances.
- Tax: Understanding of tax regulations and ability to assist with tax preparation and filing requirements.
- General ledger reconciliation: Skill in comparing account balances to ensure accuracy and identifying discrepancies or errors.
- Governmental accounting: Knowledge of accounting principles and practices specific to government entities.

Experience in Yardi Property Management Software, a plus!
