Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Cyber Security Architect to support our federal government customers goal in developing and executing a post-quantum cryptography roadmap. The Architect will be the primary and most-senior technical resource on the program and will be responsible for leading an integrated solution approach for surveillance and remediation of operational environments. The Cyber Security Architect must have a background in securing government systems throughout various stages of their zero trust and post-quantum cryptography journey.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with government Solution Architect and senior technical customers on the development of a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQCR) roadmap.

  • Develop and implement best practices around post-quantum computing

  • Plan for the effective delivery, monitoring, remediation and management of security boundaries and controls, ensuring the customers infrastructure and cyber posture remains strong

  • Provide a recommended approach for Cyber organizational change management

  • Design, implement and manage encryption, network security, threat detection and response.

  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, compliance standards, and industry best practices.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to government stakeholders to address cybersecurity challenges and align solutions with mission goals.

  • Manage and identify technical risks and opportunities, resolution and verification of effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Support technical proposal response as needed.

  • Engage and build relationships with senior government cyber stakeholders.

  • Support a culture grounded in Leidos values, beliefs, and expectations and highest standards of ethical and respectful behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP or GIAC Security Expert (GSE)

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

  • 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, with proven expertise in designing secure systems for complex environments

  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools focused on protecting data and functional assets (i.e. Tenable, ServiceNow Discovery)

  • Thorough knowledge of DoD security policies and frameworks, including NIST 800-53 and DISA STIGs

  • Extensive knowledge of security, compliance, and governance

  • Security Operations Center experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science

  • Experience with Quantum Cryptography

  • Experience in Network Management

Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
