Therapies Manager - Physical Therapist

Position Highlights

The Therapies Manager is tasked with overseeing our Therapies department by offering services, creating strategic goals, and acting as a liaison between other medical departments. The job also entails overseeing day-to-day operations and seeing as well as evaluating patients as necessary. You can also expect to implement sound and effective financial strategies, anticipate financial requirements, and analyze monthly financial reports.

• Education:

  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program..
  • Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
  • Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

• Experience to Qualify:

  • 5 years experience as a physical therapist.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Prior experience and/or willingness to share coverage at local athletic events preferred.

• Certifications and Licenses:

  • Current Physical Therapist license.
  • BLS certification within six months of employment and current certification maintained throughout employment.

  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.

• Skills:

  • Ability to lead a team of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work with patients from variety of demographics, ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations.
