Nurse Practitioner / PA - Emergency Medicine

Pay: $115/hr

Setting: Emergency Department

Duties: The locum will be onsite to treat patients who present to the Emergency Department. We staff one MD 24/7 in the ER. We also staff one APP daily, working a 12-hour shift from 10 AM to 10 PM

Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of urgent and critical medical conditions in the emergency department, including performing initial patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic tests, initiating appropriate treatments, and coordinating patient care with other healthcare providers, all within the scope of their state practice guidelines and under the supervision of a physician when necessary. 

Days per month: The APP works three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends/ holidays

About the Hospital: 

Average daily census 12.7; licensed for 25 inpt beds which includes OB, have an additional 19 observation beds

Average of 45 patients daily in the ER; Level 4 trauma center

Timeframe: Faster credentialing timeline if candidate has a ND license.
