Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficiency in food preparation and service.
  • Create, develop and execute menus that reflect culinary creativity and align with seasonal ingredients.
  • Cultivate a positive kitchen culture, fostering teamwork, collaboration, empowerment and friendliness
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
  • Monitor food costs and assist in budgeting process to ensure profitability.
  • Create and implement inventory management procedures to minimize waste and control costs.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to develop promotional food events and special menus. 

 

Requirements

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence
  • Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food safety practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing kitchen staff.
  • Exceptional taste and aesthetic sense in food presentation and plating.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow through and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred, with at least 3-5 years of experience.
