Head Baker

Love baking and ready to help lead the charge?! Great Harvest Bread Co. in Annapolis is on the lookout for a Head Baker to join our awesome team in Annapolis, MD 21401. If you're all about scratch baking, whipping up desserts, baking delicious goodies, and speading your fire to junior team members, we definitely want to chat with you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Show off your bread baking, pastry making, and leadership skills to whip up top-notch products and modeling GREAT customer service.
• Keep things spick and span in the kitchen, following all the food safety rules and keeping things organized
• Develop your quick and thorough familiarity with our proprietary recipes/formulas.
• Recuit and co-interview all BOH/baker assistant candidates under consideration.  This is a RARE Opportunity to to build out an all-new BOH/Production team, every member of which will be someone that YOU interviewed and whose hiring YOU approve.
• Partner with the GM with all aspects of Operations, from the nightly Baking Plan, staff scheduling, ordering supplies, evaluating equipment and make upgrade recommendations, Employee Success (Rewarding extra-mile performance, and performance-managment when necessary), setting up displays, restocking, and setting expectations for the Shop-close and preparations for the next day's Baking Plan.
• Dish out fantastic customer service and keep our brand's quality standards sky-high
• Menu Planning and Stratgic Direction-- including your ideas for additional baked items to enhance our already-popular customer-favorites
• Mentor, Teach, and Train junior bakers and others, helping to create and foster a fun and rewarding career for everybody!

We're now expanding our assortment and looking to level-UP our coffee game, and we want the Head Baker to be involved from the start with charting the course for our next 25 years!
