We are seeking an experienced Merchant Operations Manager to lead the testing and validation of new technologies, and support the successful deployment of those technologies at customer locations. We expect the Program Manager to dive deep on customer problems and work with engineering and customer support teams to devise new technology and process improvements. The successful candidate will thrive in a constantly evolving business environment, work well with cross-functional teams to help deliver a world-class shopping experience, and obsess about our customers as much as we do.
Basic qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of program management experience in the testing and deployment of consumer hardware/ software products
Previous experience in Quality Assurance testing including test design, standardized data collection, and data analysis
Previous experience managing lab technicians
Previous experience in retail operations
Previous experience crafting and validating customer-facing SOPs
Previous experience teaching and communicating complex topics written and verbally to diverse audiences
Previous experience analyzing risk/reward tradeoffs and making decisions in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment
Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
PMP Certification
Lean Six Sigma certification/training
Preferred qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar technical field
Key job responsibilities
Managing both functional and customer experience (CX) testing of new technology
Being an active contributor in test design
Providing technical and CX feedback to development teams
Supporting technology deployments at customer sites
Collect customer feedback and quantify operational impacts of new technology
Summarize results in writing for presentation to development team leadership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical techniques
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Bachelor's degree
- PMP certificate

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
