Job Description
Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Quantum Hardware Engineer - Solid-State Qubit Experimentalist to join their team. As a Quantum Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the hardware design team supporting the quantum product acceleration efforts. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quantum Hardware Engineer - Solid-State Qubit Experimentalist
Location: Reston, VA
Pay Range: $70-77/hour
*Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder
What's the Job?
Research and describe key aspects of qubit and component technologies.
Propose, design, and simulate novel approaches to qubits and qubit gates.
Interface with modeling, fabrication, measurement, hardware, and systems teams to accelerate key aspects of quantum computer subsystems and products.
Build cryogenic testing systems for solid-state qubits and measure solid-state qubits.
Monitor and understand present-state technology trends within and outside the company.
What's Needed?
PhD in Physics, Quantum Information Science, or a related discipline.
10 years of overall experience in the field.
Demonstrated ability to build cryogenic experiments and measure solid-state qubits.
Deep practical knowledge of solid-state device physics relevant for quantum computer development.
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with geographically separated team members.
