The City of Chisholm, Minnesota (population 4,775) seeks an experienced and dynamic law enforcement professional to serve as its next Chief of Police. This position has become available following the retirement of our long-serving Chief, marking an important transition period for our department and community. Located in the historic Mesabi Iron Range, Chisholm blends its rich mining heritage with emerging sectors in tourism and healthcare, creating a unique community that honors its past while embracing its future.

The Chisholm Police Department operates from a new, state-of-the-art law enforcement center and consists of 13 dedicated professionals and a $2,300,000 department budget. The department features a young, energetic, and proactive workforce eager to take on challenges and grow through shared experiences and mutual learning.

This hands-on leadership role requires balancing administrative expertise with operational excellence while maintaining a strong community presence. The successful candidate will lead by example, fostering a culture of professional development, ethical conduct, and community engagement.
