Veterinary Technician II - Small Animal Orthopedic Medicine

The Small Animal Orthopedic Medicine and Mobility Service and Clinical Trials Program at the CSU VTH is looking to hire a new veterinary technician. We are treating clinical patients and also performing clinical trials, i.e., evaluating various treatments for osteoarthritis.
 

Duties involve common duties of a veterinary technician, such as animal handling, blood draws, and sedation procedures, but also data entry, collection of clinical trial data, and constant coordination with the pet owner to ascertain that owners return for all recheck visits.

This position will be housed within the Orthopedic Medicine and Mobility Service, which offers orthopedic diagnostics and non-surgical therapies to dogs (90%) and other small animals (10%) presenting to the VTH.
 

The service is divided into the Orthopedic Medicine Service, the Clinical Trials Service, and the Rehabilitation Service. All three services work closely together; the posted position requires participation in all areas, however, the focus is duties within the Orthopedic Medicine and Clinical Trials Service.
