Job Description
As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in the strategy and the long-term financial security of the organization. Responsibilities include production of financial reports; proper maintenance of accounting records; accurate processing of financial transactions; managing the invoicing team; and administration of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Strong communication skills, leadership, business acumen, and experience are required to aid in the long-term growth and success of the company.
This role is 100% onsite in our Lanham, MD office.

Your impact:
- Assists in building, supervising, and training a team of Accounting Department professionals.
- Monitors/manages and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department including invoicing and meeting financial deadlines.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly management reporting, including all Balance Sheet schedules; resolves discrepancies.
- Monitors the good standing of Moore enterprise companies.
- Participates in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
- Reviews and validates project costs and margin and assist in pricing structure.
- Supports project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests.
Your Profile:
- 5 years of management experience in accounting and invoicing.
- Must have 2+ years of NetSuite and QuickBooks financial platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information.
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
- Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Understands supply chain and pricing models to effectively track client margin.
- Experience with job costing.
- Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Available to commute to our Lanham, MD office Monday - Friday.
