GDIT is looking for a Property Administration. This position will provide onsite support and administration of property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations. This position will also ensure that property accountability records are accurate and correct. Determine condition and arrange for disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment. Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers. Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies. Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability. Prepares periodic and special purpose reports relative to such matters as taxes, rentals and leasing, insurance, facility usage, etc.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA or equivalent + 6 yrs related experience, or MA + 4 yrs related experience
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular physicals inventory audits to maintain accurate records of all IT assets across the organization
Monitor asset lifecycle and initiate timely replacements and upgrades
Coordinate the deployment and configuration of new IT equipment to End Users
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in computer troubleshooting and support
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
Provide escalation support for operational issues; opens service tickets with support contractors / repair providers and network service providers as needed. Tracks repairs until completion.
Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects
Review deployment of existing systems and remediate to ensure alignment with standards where necessary
Isolate faults and resolve issues to prevent impact on user productivity.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Manage asset disposal process, including wiping data bearing assets and adhere to proper recycling procedures
Generate reports on asset utilization and compliance status
Deploy, Monitor and Manage network equipment such as network switches, IPAM appliances, Wireless Access point, WLCs, ISE appliances, and Microsoft Teams Rooms devices
Working Knowledge:
Experience with IT asset management software tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of IT Asset Management practices and methodologies
Education:
High School diploma/GED with 8-years of related experience, or Associate's degree with 6-years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4-years of experience
