Ultrasound Technician

Kirkland OB/GYN private clinic seeks Sonographer. In this position, you’ll perform routine and comprehensive ultrasound examinations in a busy office setting. This is a very independent position with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging exams in accordance with established department guidelines and protocols and presents cases to the OB physician for interpretation
• Assists physicians with ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures
• Verifies patient identification and reviews that the requested procedure correlates with the patient’s clinical history
• Verifies and confirms patient identification and patient information including patient precautions and other vital information
• Competent in reviewing patient chart(s), data entry into the EMR (Athena) and retrieval, as well as processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the ultrasound for reporting to the physician
• Communicates easily and effectively with patients in a pleasant and reassuring manner.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and responds to patient questions and concerns
• Maintains databases of ultrasound images and exam reports
• Performs or assists other employees in obtaining appropriate images and assist with performing scheduled equipment maintenance and/or troubleshooting equipment problems

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Minimum of three (3) years of OB/GYN sonographer experience
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) awarded by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Credentialed in Nuchal Translucency specialty is preferred or willingness to obtain NT credential
