Summary of the Role:
We are seeking an outstanding Optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care services for three days per week. Your responsibilities will include conducting vision exams, diagnosing conditions, and collaborating with patients to create treatment plans that improve their quality of life. Additionally, you will utilize the latest diagnostic technology to monitor and manage various eye conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough eye examinations to evaluate vision and identify abnormalities.
- Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, such as glasses and contact lenses.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on eye care and the importance of regular exams.
- Maintain precise medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with optical sales, providing recommendations based on patient needs.
- Stay informed about advancements in the field of optometry.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid license in the state of Alabama.
- Thorough knowledge of ocular health, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices related to optometry.
- Excellent communication skills and a dedication to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: Negotiable, ranging from $500 to $550 per day.

- Glaucoma diagnostics and treatment using Visual fields, OCT testing, and RetEval ERG testing for early detection.
- Cataract and LASIK postoperative care
