Ideal Candidate:

High school diploma or GED required. NM Journeyman Electrician (EE98J) license required.At least 3 to 5 years of electrical work experience and the ability to perform general maintenance duties as assigned, preferably in Healthcare industry. Must have a valid NM drivers license and be insurable.

Education Essential: High School Diploma or GED

Credentials Essential: Journeyman Electrical License

Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative maintenance procedures, on fixtures and equipment within a predetermined Zone in a timely manner.
  • Primary responsibility and accountability for performing repairs, lubrication and adjustment on all hospital equipment.
  • Prioritization of tasks and methods with a great deal of independence to operate within established PHS and Facility Services policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of building and utility systems in assigned zones.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to PHS and Department Policies and Procedures
  • Constantly improve technical knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and in-service meetings.
  • Understand department operating budget and suggest methods to assure that operations are within budget.
  • Serve as a resource to departments within zone in the area of facility maintenance operations
  • Support organizational visions, values and strategies
  • Maintains applicable licensure as Electrician
  • Periodic rounds in assigned areas
  • Performs installations and repairs of equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, codes, and other associated documents to complete jobs
  • Perform routine and urgent maintenance requests
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
