Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our Euclid, Ohio manufacturing headquarters. The Industrial Engineer will facilitate the application of industrial engineering principles to our manufacturing flow, layout, visual management, and overall effectiveness of our safety, quality, and productivity goals.

What you will do:

The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing effectiveness, with specific responsibilities including:

Drive continuous improvement in a standard approach across all Consumable manufacturing departments
Assist with the implementation of a proactive continuous improvement program for existing manufacturing equipment
Design and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce cost
Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Develop new concepts in material processing, handling, material flow, floor layout, visual controls, and productivity for cost reduction purposes
Apply principles of industrial engineering to evaluate work method proposals and to develop recommendations to management affecting work methods and budget decisions
Promote integrating manufacturing processes with technology
Work with the support team and business stakeholders to translate process wants and needs into technical requirements for system improvements
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Work with production teams to identify and resolve process issues
Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure that products meet specifications and standards
Develop and implement training programs for production teams on new processes and equipment
Work with maintenance to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and repaired

Experience & Education Required

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar discipline
Minimum 3+ years industry experience
Demonstrated continuous improvement and structured problem-solving methodologies utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools
Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally on the shop floor on a regular basis
Knowledge of MS Office software, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; familiarity with SAP a plus.
Ability to perform hands-on work
