What You Will Do:
The Sr. Escrow Officer is primarily responsible for completing all tasks and responsibilities associated with through intake, processing, closing, and funding new title orders. Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Title Operations. Understands the escrow process to determine what steps need to be taken to conduct a closing pursuant to the conditions called for in the real estate contract and lender instructions. Collaborates with title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, list pendants, etc. Reviews title commitments for accuracy and completeness to ensure all requirements are satisfied and works with appropriate parties to prepare documents for closing. Conducts closing, in office or in conjunction with an outside vendor, with customer, realtor, lenders, and attorneys. Receives and reviews all documents for accuracy and completeness and prepares files for disbursement. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
What We Require:
High school diploma or equivalent. Holding a current Escrow License for a minimum of 5 years. Completing continuing education to maintain licensure. A minimum of 5 years recent title insurance and escrow experience. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in use of title insurance and closing software solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate good problem solving skills and demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills. An attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced, volume production driven environment. Work flexible hours as needed, including possible weekends. Availability for periodic travel to work-site locations. Valid driving license within assigned region, a good driving record and insurability.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced knowledge of the entire title process from beginning to end.
