Radiation Therapist

This position is a travel contract, and the hourly rate posted includes the daily housing stipend and meal stipend. Applicants within 60 miles of the facility are considered locals and are not eligible for travel stipends.

Gifted Requirements 

A minimum of 1 year as a Radiation Therapist with recent experience.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Radiation therapists work with radiation oncologists, nurses, and medical physicists to treat cancer patients with radiation therapy. 

• Treatment planning: Reviewing the patient's diagnosis and prescription, and explaining the treatment plan to the patient 
• Treatment administration: Calibrating and operating the radiation machine to treat the patient 
• Equipment preparation: Preparing equipment such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
