Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Proficient in all Ultrasound and Vascular procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all positioning techniques, technical factors and anatomical factors necessary to obtain quality images.
  • Assists the radiologist and or other physicians as necessary.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all staff members.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule as required. (i.e. alternate shifts, call rotation, etc.)
  • Demonstrates initiative (Can work independent without need of constant supervision or direction.)
  • Responsible (Completes assigned tasks, duties, etc.)
  • Punctual (Arrives at work on time on a consistent basis.)
  • Dependable
  • Observes universal precautions and other health and safety rules of the department as well as those of the Medical Center.
  • Participates in continuing education essential the field and for the betterment of the patient.
  • Demonstrates good patient care skills.
  • Communicates in a positive compassionate manor to all age groups.
  • Able to modify job duties as necessary.
  • Appropriately assesses the patients pain and involves the patient in effective management of the pain using age appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain HIPPA compliance.
  • Maintain Imaging QA requirements. ( What qualifications you will need:
    • High School Graduate / GED
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)
