Dental Hygienist

We are currently looking for a fun,energetic and long term hygienist to join our team. At Black Hills Area Dental we strive to give our patients the best quality dental care to promote good oral health practies. We are a certified GBT dental clinic that helps our patient better understand the through removal of bacteria and there biproducts that can cause disease. We are committed to to provide a positive and educational dental experience that encourages our patients to help them to take bettter care of their teeth. 

Responsibilites

• Ensure the patient is comfortable during their dental visit
• Review medical and dental history with patients
• Identify conditions like gingivitis , periodontal disease or caries
• Take necessary x-rays
• Provide professional dental cleanings based on patients personal need (professional cleanings, periodontal maintenance or scaling and root planning).
• Educate and instruct patients of all ages on proper dental care
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting on each patient
• Sterilize and disinfection of operatory as well as dental instruments
• Monitor supplies

Skills and Qualifications

• Dental hygienist licensure from an accredited school
• Diploma in dental hygiene
• Proven experience in the dental field
• Comprehensive understanding of dental health and safety regulations
• Strong communucation skills
• Ability to administer local anesthesia
