We are seeking Designated Crisis Responders ( DCR ) to join our team. Your role will be to assess and evaluate individuals in crisis. Referrals originate from law enforcement, schools, community partners and residents from the region. As a DCR, you will bring your knowledge and clinical skills to resolve crises, determine the need for hospitalization and work towards a successful disposition.
As a member of the Crisis department, you will work with other members of the crisis team, our developing outpatient programs and psychiatric services and report to our program manager.

What You Will Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with clients and key community partners within the region. Screen and respond to calls requesting crisis evaluations and assessments. You will collaborate with primary care providers, schools, and law enforcement to provide screenings, evaluations and referral to substance use, counseling and psychiatric services. When necessary you will evaluate individuals that require involuntary behavioral health and substance abuse treatment. You will work closely with hospital and law enforcement to arrange hospitalization and coordinate admission.

What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

• Master's Degree
• Counseling and clinical understanding of individuals experiencing crisis.
• Communication Skills
• Administrative Skills

Klickitat County serves as a licensed Behavioral Health Agency that provides an expanding scope of behavioral health services to the county and residents of the region. Specifically, Klickitat County Behavioral Health (KCBH) will be providing Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) services for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.

About Designated Crisis Responders (DCR) and Eligible Services

The purpose of a DCR is to evaluate people experiencing a behavioral health disorder for immediate safety planning or involuntary detention in psychiatric and secure withdrawal facilities. This service is in accordance with the State of Washington law RCW 71.05 (adults) and RCW 71.34 (persons ages 13 - 17 years of age). These critical services will be available 24-hours a day, 365-days a year.

DCRs are specialists among mental health professionals. They are trained and privileged by the county. Each is committed to providing services with dignity and respect. They do this by conducting a holistic and collaborative assessment of the individual in crisis in order to help guide and when appropriate refer to services most compatible for the situation.

you will join a new community based behavioral health program with an office in Goldendale and office expansion to White Salmon. We are dedicated to serve the residents of the region with new and expanded services.

Only a few successful candidates will join a highly motivated, diverse team that is committed to outreach, integration and staff development. Salary range for this position is $64,000 - $83,500 per year. We offer the following benefits:
