Relief Veterinary Technician

Job Description Evette Staffing you to explore our exciting and new career opportunity as a full-time Relief Veterinary Technician. We’re seeking highly enthusiastic and reliable individuals to launch our selective Veterinary Technician department. In this opportunity, you will assist veterinary facilities by providing extra support when they need it most.

Location: Boston, MA

Responsibilities (May Vary Depending On Facility)

• Assessing and examining patients.

• Conducting laboratory tests on specimens for diagnosing medical conditions.

• Performing diagnostic imaging and ultrasound tests.

• Assisting in surgery, dressing, and treating wounds.

• Promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, and by educating clients on positive diet and lifestyle choices for pets.

• Improving patients' dental health by performing checkups, and cleaning.

• Ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.

• Maintaining patients' medical records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).

• 2+ years of continuous Veterinarian Technician experience.

• Specialty experience is a plus.

• LVT, RVT, CVT, VTS (ECC) or Pre-Vet is a plus, but not required.

• Desire to practice empathetic, gold-standard medicine benefiting our patients.

• Are paw-sitive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members, and clients.

• Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a veterinary technician!
