We are in search of a driven, detail-oriented Hotel Corporate Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you would be responsible for daily and monthly accounting tasks, including preparing month-end financial statements, processing sales tax payments, reconciling cash, and other balance sheet accounts. In addition, you will assist properties with overall accounting needs and questions.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years in a related accounting role, hotel accounting would be a plus. General Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, and accounting reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Conduct analysis on all statements, balance sheets, income and expense accounts to ensure accuracy, identify trends and make recommendations for change that can positively impact the property
- Adhere to month-end requirements to produce the financial statements
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and bank accounts for assigned properties
- Process monthly, quarterly/annual sales and use tax returns
- Identify, research, and correct account discrepancies or accounting issues
- Provide support on the AR process as needed
- Preparation and posting of various entries including prepaid, accruals and reclassifications
- Coordination of accounting matters with other departments
- Preparation of schedules for annual and quarterly reviews for external auditors
- Respond to and resolve questions, issues, or disputes in an accommodating manner
- Protect company assets; protect the privacy and security of guests, coworkers and owners
- Participating in various special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, Accounting preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, public accounting experience a plus
- Previous hotel accounting experience a plus
- Experience with multi-entity accounting
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software a plus
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Possess the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
