Overview:
The Site Foreman is responsible for managing day-to-day on-site operations for high-end residential construction projects. This role requires ensuring that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. The Site Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating construction activities, and upholding Timeline Design + Build’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Supervision:
- Oversee and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with architectural and structural plans, scopes of work, and schedules.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring work progresses smoothly and according to design specifications.
- Manage labor hours, coordinate subcontractors, and enforce project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.
2. On-Site Management:
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient job site, enforcing all safety regulations and company policies.
- Supervise and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and inspections to keep projects on track.
- Lead by example, ensuring all workers adhere to best practices and high-quality standards.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed daily logs and weekly job reports documenting project progress, labor usage, and potential challenges.
- Ensure that all site documentation, including safety reports and material deliveries, is accurately recorded and up-to-date.
4. Client & Team Communication:
- Act as the on-site representative of Timeline Design + Build, maintaining professionalism and fostering strong client relationships.
- Communicate regularly with the project management team, providing updates on progress, potential delays, and necessary adjustments.
- Address client concerns on-site, ensuring transparency and satisfaction throughout the project.
5. Safety & Quality Control:
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Ensure all construction work is completed to the highest quality standards, resolving any defects promptly.
- Assist in warranty or maintenance requests post-project to uphold customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; vocational training in construction management or related fields is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in custom residential construction, preferably as a Lead Carpenter.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Expertise in construction techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
- In-depth knowledge of residential building codes and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in carpentry and general construction practices.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Co-Construct or Buildertrend is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces.
- Proficient in using power tools safely.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
