Job Responsibilities:

  1. Greet clients arriving in Valparaiso office
  2. Handle incoming phone calls and redirect to appropriate department or manage calendaring appointments/changes
  3. Manage a busy calendar for 3 attorneys and other staff members working between 3 offices in NW Indiana
  4. Provide clerical support to attorneys and staff 
  5. Handle mail distribution and posting
  6. Operate phone system and assist with keyboarding tasks inclding inputing data into client management software
  7. Manage office procedures and front office duties
  8. Other duties as assigned 

Excellent client interaction is our top priority in this position. In addition, candidates must have good computer skills in Word and other Office applications. We will train on our CRM program, but need applicants who are able to navigate and learn new computer applications.

Our calendaring procedure is dynamic and requires close attention as we host public events and schedule multiple employees and types of appointments in our three offices. The ideal candidate will be able to make use of a template for appointment setting and maintain consistency in scheduling based on that template. The ideal candidate will also be able to adjust appointments as cancellations or reschedules occur and bring forward clients who are scheduled for future appontments in order to keep clients from waiting any longer than necessary to come into our offices.

Benefits: Paid Time Off (accumulated monthly) and Simple IRA matching contributions (after two years with the firm)

Salary: $36,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
